Custom Strategic Databases for multi-claimant litigation

We build secure web applications that turn non-uniform plaintiff fact sheets into searchable data, so your team can triage the claimant population into pools for mediation, litigation, severity tiers, or any grouping the matter requires.

Built around the matter it serves.

Each database is built by a firm that knows claimant investigations and knows how claimant information is gathered, verified, and kept.

Intake and Digitization

Plaintiff profile forms, fact sheets, questionnaires, and supporting documents are uploaded individually or in bulk and processed with machine-learning document extraction. Forms need not be uniform; differing versions, inconsistent formatting, and handwritten submissions are digitized into consistent fields and attached to each claimant’s profile alongside the source documents.

Triage and Pooling

Claimants are tagged, filtered, and placed into pools defined by your team, either with AI or during your team’s own review. Bulk editing reassigns entire groups at once, each claimant’s status is tracked throughout, and quick filters and saved views are built around the criteria your team actually uses.

Search, Notes, and Analytics

Universal search runs across every document and claimant in the database. Notes can be attached to claimants and documents for attorney review, and high-level analytics summarize the data points captured across the claimant population.

Sharing and Access

Multi-level user management allows the database to be shared with co-counsel, insurance carriers, and the clients they represent, with access levels set for each user. There are no per-user fees.

Integration

Each database can operate on its own or connect to your firm’s case management system. It can also connect to Smith & Carson’s investigative platform, so findings on claimants who warrant further investigation can be viewed directly in the database.

Security and Hosting

Your data stays
under your control.

Documents and claimant data are housed in a secure, dedicated web application that Smith & Carson hosts and manages from first intake through close-out.

AES

Encryption

All data is protected with 256-bit AES encryption at rest and TLS encryption in transit within secure AWS cloud infrastructure. Document processing is opted out of AWS data-sharing programs, so client documents are never used to train machine-learning models.

MFA

Controlled Access

Multi-factor authentication is required at every login, supported by role-based access controls, continuous monitoring and logging, vulnerability scanning, and incident response protocols.

AWS

Hosting and Close-Out

Hosting is fully managed, with automated backups. When a matter concludes, the database is sunset and all archived data is returned to the client.

Every database begins with a consultation. Your team knows the case, and we know claimant information. You tell us what you need to know about each claimant, and we build the database around that information and the way your team works.
