| Michelle Hetherington wins 50 Km Trail Race AtlantaMichelle Hetherington ran the Bartram Forest 50 Km race in Milledgeville, Georgia on November 29, 2008. This was her first trail run and ultra distance running race and she is hooked! The weather didn't cooperate, as it rained the entire 5 hours and 45 minutes it took to complete the 31 mile run. The trail turned into a swamp within the first hour of the run, which made for slow conditions as the competitors had to slog through the mud. Michelle finished in first place for the women's 50 Km category and won a large gingerbread cookie (baked by the race director Kevin Hatfield) and trail running shoes. She says this won't be her last trail race, and loves running in the woods. We are so proud to have Michelle as part of our team at Smith & Carson!
