Jennifer is Smith & Carson's expert in alternative causation, a key strategy in toxic tort and product liability defense. She has conducted hundreds of witness interviews throughout the United States. Jennifer has also managed investigations in support of product liability lawsuits in a wide range of industries including plastics, tool & die, pesticide, textile, meat processing, and cement manufacturing. She has developed extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards faced by painters, welders, mechanics, and shipbuilders and has also conducted water quality and exposure studies.

Jennifer holds a Masters of Public Administration in Earth Systems Science from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Davidson College.
